Day13a.jpgby FotoMunkiComment: Man you have a lot of patience after a long shift. I really like how you oriented all these candies. Black, gray and white - it just works. |

There's a lighter light at the end of the tunnelby QuigleyComment: Better than the first try, certainly. Lighting it so you could make out some small amount of detail within the pipe itself would probably make this easier to interpret. Unfortunately 'modern' cameras just can't cope with such drastic differences between bright light and deep darkness. |

Day-Fourteen.jpgby RoosterComment: Might back this out a bit and let a wider crop show off all the boat and more of the lake. Little more contrast as well. |

trussby bladComment: Got the blues? Glad you do because they work really well with this study of mechanical precision. |

911 Flagsby cogeroxComment: Lighting is a bit drastic. Wonder if this wouldn't work better later in the day? Tones are nice and I think you composed this well given the unusual arrangement of the flags. |

gate-universe.jpgby electrolostComment: Very harsh imagery. Lots of jagged and abrupt shapes and super high contrast. I view it as an abstract and like it in that regard. |

Singer with new lightby QuigleyComment: I saw your lighting setup with the big reflectors. Can you post what exactly it is you are trying to acheive with your lighting setup for this shot?
Also I would get down and shoot this from the front or maybe just slightly above. Could also try shooting it from an angle to the right side to show off that dunkly looking back, but either way I would avoid top-down. It always looks like the person just walked up to something, pointed the camera down and clicked. |

Eye of the needleby RobertMComment: Critique Club feedback -
Not much bokeh here if any. The lighting is not working in your favor here. MAcro shots really need technical perfection to have impact. |

Nice bit of bokeh in the background. I would concentrate on making sure your focus is accurate, trying different compositionts and add a bit of contrast to the shot to give the statue some life. |
