Snowy Tracksby Sunshine86Comment: Nice scene that works well as a BW. Looks to me to be slightly underexposed. Something here, snow or clouds, should be much brighter white. Good luck. |

Soap bubbles.... (Inspired by Yanko)by IreneMComment: It's cool looking, which is probably why you copied the idea in the first place heheh. Could have at least flipped it vertically and presented it as some sort of alien footprint heheh. What's with the dots of color in the center and around the top edge of the bubble? |

Beachedby dx_powerComment: Interesting subject matter that probably could have made for a very eye-popping shot. Unfortunately, here it looks like the photographer just walked up, pointed the camera down, and snapped one off. I want to see this from the point of view of you lying on the ground, showing me the faces of these beasts, presenting them in a way that really gives impact to their situation. I have to say I think this was an opportunity missed. Good luck. |

Tears of an Angelby Baron152Comment: Looks like the focus is on the gunk covering the forehead here. Interesting looking statue. Might have tried to get the eyes looking very crisp to give the viewers eye something to hone in on. Possibly a little stronger contrast between tones would remedy the overall flatness of the image and particularly the statue itself. good luck. |

Facadeby justin_hewlettComment: Think this would work a bit better were that big shiny pipe perfectly aligned vertically. Nice textures in this shot. Not much of interest to keep your attention, but nice in an abstract, urban grit sort of way. That said, I'm thinking a higher contrast BW approach might have enhanced the textures on the bricks and given the shot more pop. Good luck. |

Begging Boxerby om10Comment: Heheh, great shot. I like the composition and the overall effect and I think the whitespace works well. Getting the eyes sharper would have really made this one jump out even more. Looks like your doF bit you (no pun intended) a bit as that protruding muzzle gets slightly out of focus down by his mouth. Overall a great submission. Good luck. |

Tower of Powerby photom1946Comment: In my opinion, shots like this where the geometry is the focus beg, scream and pleasd to be presented in a purely symmetrical fashion. This one looks a little off-kilter and with the geometry really being the only thing the shot presents to grab your interest, it doesn't quite come through. Good luck. |

behind herby nomad469Comment: I don't mind a softer focus on portraits but it really makes the image pop if the eyes at least are very sharply focused. Nice concept here. Wonering how it might work with a little less of her chest and a little more of the guy peeking around up top? Good luck. |

Umpqua Lighthouse HDRby talmyComment: Why would the overcasst sky have kept you from entering this? It's a decent photo, it clearly benefits from the expanded dynamic range of HDR and unlike 99% of the other shots in the forums it isn't a complete haloing festival and abuse of tone mapping. You should reconsider entering if you have more shots along these lines. |
