Sydney by FirstyComment: A 1 and a 2? The vote scrubber is worthless. Grats on this superb shot! |

edinburghblueby mambaComment: Nothing screams digital like banding in the sky. Back off on the saturation and you should be in good shape. |

My Shining Starby SonifoComment: Some people are just stupid. Blow it off. You could bracket for your exposures and she wouldn't have to stand still as a stone for minutes on end. Morons.
This shot should have placed much higher. I had to wade through page after page of ghoulish, cartoon-like, crap that appear to have been created by schizophrenic 3 year olds on acid just to see how this shot fared.
What a crying shame. Message edited by author 2006-11-22 18:14:27. |

City Slickerby Rae-AnnComment: The tones on the columns are quite nice as is the perspective of the columns fading off into the distance. What punches this photo in the eye is the oversharpening. It is particularly noticeable around the bird. Overall a nice shot. Good luck. |

The Lonely Ballerinaby DjabordjaborComment: Beautiful bw processing on this shot. Great lighting, lovely tones. I normally find kid shots to be trite but this is really nice. Good expression on her face. |

Home from Iraq-101st Airborneby piaffe529Comment: This is the sort of subject matter that can yield really good stuff. I imagine there was something preventing you from getting up close, but this shot would have really taken off if the expressions on the faces of the guys getting home were up close and personal. Bigger telephoto, waiting for them to come closer. Good luck. |

Thumbnailby raishComment: Nice detail, if not the pleasantest to look at. The black thing on the bottom sort of sinks the composition in my mind. Good luck. |

Floralityby hotpastaComment: I was wondering if anyone would do something like this what with all the talk of mundane landscape shots. This is a really great example of what HDR can be used for in a non-LSD inspired fashion. The details through the window aren't overexposed, the still life is not a shadowed mess. Nice job and good luck. |

My Shining Starby SonifoComment: Another rare and excellent example of HDR imaging. Nothing silhouetted and very nice lighting all around. I hope this does well, though I'm afraid one of the many hallucinogenic nightmares I just clicked past in horror will probably take the prize. |

The Veteranby BeagleboyComment: That's some wicked haloing going on around the guy. If its intentional, I'm not sure it was the way to go here. Almost looks like some sort of album cover for a punk band or something. Good luck. |
