A "Wii" ACEby QuigleyComment: Meets the challenge. I have no doubt you can take more interesting images. |

life cycleby shaundpComment: Probably would have been more challenge related had he actually nailed all the hoops, but I guess 3/4's a victory is better than sitting on the sidelines. Crop could use some work and this might not have been the best choice of a shot to go with BW on - lack of separation between a lot of the tones make it hard to distinguish what all is involved here. Caring Trumps Crueltyby BeeCeeComment: This is extremely over sharpened. The blown out area on the birds head also hurts the shot a bit. To be honest (or more honest), I find the mangled beak to be a stomach turning distraction. That's not to say it's a great thing that someone fixed him up, but just me as a viewer - it's almost too much to take and I just want to get past the photo and never see it again. |

A Gloryby MesharyComment: Even with the title I can't figure out how this is supposed to be related to the challenge theme. Nice silhouette shot in general, but that's about all it's doing for me. |

The Ultimate Successby LoreneComment: Ahh, nothing like urine droplets in clear, crisp focus.
This is a very original entry that really nails the challenge. Nice lighting as well. All around a great shot for this contest. 7. |

goal goal goalby DonaldComment: Nice candid. Could use a bit more contrast and I'm wondering why you cropped it like this. Have to cut off a bunch of people sitting in front of you or something? |

the finish lineby boysetsfireComment: Nice shoehorn, but what the hell I like the shot a lot. Think it would look nicer if the curve creatde by the shadow at the bottom of the frame met the bottom edge nicely at the bottom right corner rather than swooping back up again. Could go either way I guess, but that crop would also drag the subject down onto the thirds intersection which woul make the image even more solid imo.
Nice eye. Love the patterns and the tones. |

At My Age...by AtroposComment: Meets the challenge. That alone is a nice change of pace.
Nice composition. Little bit more contrast and this would have been a ringer for the shadows challenge coming up. Wouldn't mind a little more contrast anyway as it is just a bit washed out looking between the subjects drab clothes, the ice, the shadows and (to top it off!) the dull gray frame. 5. |

Horsepower beats gravityby steveh552Comment: Don't see how this is triumphant or successful or anything challenge related. I'm assuming by the title that the guy is flooring it and lifting the front end. No smoke, no motion blur on the wheels - it looks as if the car is just sitting with its front wheels on a stage of some sort. |

Slammin the Jammerby shareinncComment: Pretty weak connection to the challenge if any at all. Setting that aside, the red eyes on the guy in the background really make this scream snapshot and that's never a good thing for a challenge entry. Composition could use some work as well. |
