Bird-1.jpgby daboardergirlComment: Nice action shot of these Sandhill Cranes - how lucky to have a group of them visit your driveway! |

Holgafied-tree.jpgby KenComment: All those roots - that tree's been digging itself in for some time. Nice Holga-y effect, gives it a nostalgic feel. What is that on the trunk - a black x? |

Balloons.jpgby KenComment: Great that you decided to get in so close - turned it into a nicely colorful abstract. |

Get Juiced For 25 centsby QuigleyComment: Poured into a beer cup, no less! Good choice of colors for the sign-maker - no need to add the word "grape". |

Weigh in Timeby QuigleyComment: Yeah, they sure do look a bit bummed, don't they? I like how far back this shot goes, the inclusion of the people on the pier beyond. |

In Honorby BAMartinComment: There's something about a park bench (invitation to sit) behind a locked gate that makes me feel deprived of something. :) I like that you included the dedication stone in the composition, the shape of which is echoed by the window. |

The Unbearable Lightness of Beingby posthumousComment: Most likely the "horizon" tilt was the Achilles heel, although it doesn't bother me. And funny you say it's a curb, but before reading that, I thought the background was a park area, with people sitting on the grass - those two dark shadows looked like people to me. Title is perfect - Kundera would like the shot and not fault you the "horizon". :) |

reach of redby skewsmeComment: I like how the angle of those red leaves are echoed in the angle of the bokeh-ed branch. |

backlitby nixterComment: Had a thought this was you when I saw it - I think you said before it was unusual for you to shoot something like this - you do it very well. |
