You put so much effort into this, I'm impressed and I'd venture to say Van Gogh would be envious. :) I see the pots now, when I didn't before - this is really quite good - the brushes and added flower make interpreting the image (without having read the description beforehand) a bit confusing, but I see that you wanted to cover up the hole - maybe you could have covered the hole with a bit of cardboard and painted over it?

Nothing like a fog rolling in to help make things all impressionistic - I think this is a very calming and pretty shot, and suits the challenge, but I find myself wishing there were a bit more free space in the composition, a bit more breathing room especially at the top.

This one absolutely fits the bill - those reflections/ripples are wild. And the composition is great - the lily pads just sort of come and go through the frame, they don't dominate.

I think the feel of the place comes across very well - institutional and very bleak indeed. The perspective is what's really effective - it feels like the photographer is cowering in the corner of this inhospitable cellar.

Your technique gives it, oddly, a photorealism painting technique look - I rather like this, but agree with you that it's dubiously "impressionistic" (although I don't think it's a shoehorn). However I had given it an 8, since I think it's a nicely done image. Bland isn't always bad - this is nice study of light.
