the migration of lovebirdsby yankoComment: Subversive and sly - has all the appearance of being a typical slick and empty ad shot, until we get knocked over by subtext. Having read your other comments, I'm trying to decide which would have been "better" - color or b&w - and I think I prefer the color; in a sense, if it were more 'classic', in b&w, we'd lose sight of the contrast between slickness/kitsch and the subtext. |

end of summerby GordonComment: I'm so happy you put it in this particular challenge, gives viewers a wider perspective on what being a "master" means for the visual arts. Such a warmth and liveliness to this scene, really good job with defocusing. |

Freedomby SaraRComment: Well, knowing you were both in Rome together, I had a 50/50 chance of being right in my guess - shoulda named you both. :) Beautiful photo, a real achievement. |

Veins of a Naked Leafby LaMasComment: Very nicely done, like this one a lot. I like the negative shadow here, too, very interesting. |

The Highway Bluesby WildcardComment: Amazing transformation! Looks like streetlights-at-night shots do very well in negative. Congrats on the honorable mention! |

simulated riskby skewsmeComment: Those colors are so nauseating - how appropriate! I love how you placed all those swirls in the frame. |

Shieldedby posthumousComment: Sneaky subtle concept, love it - like the Raiders melting-away look, adds a tension to the notion of her being safe. |

Double Safetyby gsalComment: Nice close crop, I like how the arms act as a frame. This is really good in b&w, good choice. |
