Icarus!by macrothingComment: This image is simply transporting. I come back to it again and again, and love it every time. |

The End of a Dayby luvmyaussieComment: Now this is just the sort of thing that would get trounced upon in a challenge - "not enough of the barn", "can't see anything to know what the subject is", "too busy"; but it's also precisely the sort of thing that reaches us, puts us right there standing on tiptoe to see over the grass, wondering where the ground falls away, hoping we find it before we tumble down toward the barn door. |

Rollby RetroesqueComment: I like ubique's take on this - focusing off-action gives the whole shot a different impact. It's just "not normal", so instead of relying on pat responses to expected aesthetics we have to dig deeper in ourselves, find the wonder, and put words to it. The exercise in itself can be exhilarating. |

Through the Hollowby trevytrevComment: Ah, now this is the same beckoning tree branch, I think, seen further up the path? Here the placement of the sweet spot allows the LB blur effect to follow the arch of the branch, nice. |

winterfield by ErinMComment: Wistful. I like the chaotic directions - they all tend to the right, but take their own ways getting there. |

Winter Graveyardby Bear_MusicComment: The wind is blowing so hard into my face, that I can only bear the dimmest view of the scene before me, all squint and eyelash. |

Departure by pawdrixComment: Ack, you're putting us all to shame, catching a bird in flight in the sweet spot! I like the suggestion from the part-way open screen door, that the bird just exited from there. :) |

does not make chickenby colorcarnivalComment: This is about the fourth time I've come back to this shot and only just now noticed the D N M C wink in the title - jeez, observant much? :) Whimsical and fun, which is about the only thing anyone should have done with a challenge like this one... |
