flood_14.jpgby meyersComment: This shot, of all of them, grabs me the most. It makes so plain the incredible power of moving water. |

Idaby chesireComment: I agree: B&W is perfect. I wonder whether it's possible to brighten up some of the midtones on the gravestone without losing contrast with the background. |

Old Railroad Tracksby socalsteveComment: In advanced editing, I think I'd darken the background quite a bit, but this is good under basic editing. |

P&S Day 17b.jpgby socalsteveComment: I like most of the changes you made, but I have to ring in that I'm disappointed every time someone takes a gorgeous model and "improves her," as if real women don't have hips or thighs. But I admit I don't know what this series is ... maybe she asked you to do that. |

Cityscape Reflectionsby andrewtComment: I really like how the "live" and the reflected both contribute to the perspective lines converging in the distance. |

Weathering the Yearsby QuigleyComment: Max, I'm sorry I didn't raise this before voting began, but try pumping up the contrast some. I'm guessing some people felt it was a little too dark. You've got the solid black under the hood, so making the whole thing brighter would make it stand out more. |

Tranquilby JudiComment: Beautiful colors and nice composition, Judi. Although I agree with Peter that a bit more taken off the rocks might have worked even better. Is this where you shot that video of the photoshoot on the rocks with your daughter? Message edited by author 2008-07-21 23:16:52. |

Turbo Smilesby KelliComment: I'm not sure the desaturation was a good idea here. As kashi said, the "different" thing that grabs your attention is the green piece, not the smile. I'd suggest trying it without the desat and with most of the bottom cropped off. The spokes convey "bike" without needing the gear shaft. |
