DSC_7469-becksoft.jpgby BeeCeeComment: The eyes were a bit dark, so I lightened them a bit in the example below. There is a color difference between her forehead and cheeks, I would even that out a bit. Otherwise, I think you did a very nice job.

Thirsty Dogby jaysonmcComment: I think the DOF is so shallow that no one could identify the water bowl, which by your title, is part of the subject of the image. I like the shallow DOF and the graininess of the image. To me the subject is the heart-shaped collar.
I did not vote in this challenge, but I probably would've rated it a 5. |

I like this shot, but I probably would've cropped out the ceiling/rafters and fan. I don't see how this scored a <5, though. There does seem to be a little scarring on the subject's jaw. |
