Really like the idea here (and your dog is a very cute model). I just wish the background was more asthetically pleasing, i.e. as in a solid color and maybe with a shallower depth of field, or maybe something that fits the theme like outside in a jungle / forest setting. (And you could then title it "The Real King of the Jungle") - just a couple ideas.

Had to come back and comment on this one again, as it's my favorite in the challenge, and maybe one of my favorites on DP Challenge. Really striking lighting (which all your shots seem to have) and great concept. The only thing that could make me like it more is if your right shin / foot wasn't hidden, but still really love it. Hope you get the blue!

Wow, cool. Thanks for the votes & comments - very exciting to end up in the top 10! To answer the questions about the color of my lens cap, I didn't use paint - I just saturated the pic in Photoshop. There were yellow reflections on the cap from the petals, which turned a bright & solid yellow once saturated.

Love the lighting on this one - seems like the unspoken message is that her laughter is lighting up the room. I think I would prefer to see more of her eye instead of it being cast mostly in shadow, but that's really my only complaint. Really great color & crop too.

I love the white ethereal lighting of this one - really adds to the puppy's innocence. Great capture of the soft texture of his (her?) fur as well. The only nit-picky thing I wish is that I could see the eye on the bottom, but other than that, love it.
