You used the full tonal range perfectly here, the conversion to B&W was a good choice. Taking a photo of someone with glasses, especially a self portrait is not easy. It is difficult to get the side of the person's face lined up with the "through the glass" side of the face. But here you lined it all up well. And you are very photogenic, I would love to photograph you one day :)

Whenever I see similar shots to this one I always see the person looking into the mirror and at the camera but not away from the camera. That little point gives this image so much impact. Also the set up and the fact you shot this over your shoulder shows you put a lot of thought into it. The rugged look also helps, I think freshly shaven wouldn't have hit it as well as unshaven. (10).
