...Some day my prince will come...by doctornickComment: Originally posted by dr rick: Focus is nicely soft but the DOF is too narrow; an aperture one step smaller (f/4) would have put the whole subject in focus while still keeping the background unobtrusively blurry. |
True the focus is soft, maybe even just a little too soft around the eye area. If the eyes were a tad sharper this would be absolutely amazing, instead of just amazing :) I do have to disagree about the depth of field being too narrow though. I find the depth of field as it is very adequate. An f/4 aperture wouldn't have done anything to benefit this image. |

tiffanyby ursulaComment: I'm not really a big fan of flower shots, but this one is very good. Meets the challenge head on too. I surprised myself by giving this a 10! |

wanderfull lifeby sameh18Comment: I don't think this will do to well, it is very very dark, no sign of lighting at all. And you have spellt the first word wrong. |

cold oneby dano3470Comment: Fitting image to the challenge, and one I can relate to :))) The color of the beer formed by the backlighting makes it very appetizing and the ice on the glass just makes my mouth water. I only don't like the crop at the top of the image where you can only just see the top of the glass and then a black stripe. I would have either prefered a crop just below the top of the glass or else a little more black space above the glass showing. |
