The final image is not much different to the original, just a few minor adjustments really. Here is the original:
Just a matter of experimenting with lighting and camera settings. Ya kangaroo :) Message edited by author 2006-02-14 15:30:24. |

Before submitting I check my images using the pipette on the info palette in PS. And I can assure you that even lightest areas on the girl's face all contain color information under 255. Message edited by author 2006-02-14 08:59:15. |

Flame wave by kiwinessComment: Thanks for all your comments and votes, it is fun being back again :) All this is is a a bunch of about 20 sheets of red A4. I put a paper clip to hold one end and then pushed the other end inwards a little to form some wave and put a paper clip at that end so it would stay in that form. Set up two softboxes in varios positions and experimented by moving the lighting and changing the aperture. Post processing only included cropping, curves, color balance, and a little blurring/sharpening. |

with love....by suemackComment: Nice shot Sue! I am not a great lover of flower photos, but this one really conveys a feeling of freshness, you can almost smell the flower by looking at it :) |

Amor est vitae essentia by kiwinessComment: Thank you for all your comments and votes. I was a little indecisive about entering this as I know DPC and I know that a photo like this doesn't always go down so well. But looking at the votes I am happy with the outcome. Only 2 "ones", 5 "twos" and 8 "threes"! I was expecting a lot more :) |
