I'll add a bit to my in challenge comment. really this is a great photo, very interesting, unique, technically fine, definitely one of the best in the challenge. Compositionally, in terms of the challenge, a crop from one side or the other may have added a bit of tension that would help the photo. At first I thought coming in from the R would be best but Im not sure now, perhaps from the L? Anyway, I totally agree with you - do what you like... it's fantastic.
