I would think that a headline like that would show the youth painting over the graffiti. Front pagers tend to have a lot of human involvement.

The sport is somewhat obscure, not really a front page item. Ignoring that, while it's a nice picture, I think good front pagers tend to have more obvious human placement, putting a face on the activity at hand, especially with something like sports.

A lot of folks were put off by the anti-DNMC title, others just decided it was DNMC despite it. Whatever - even ribbon winners get 1's!

I love this idea, even if it is a little cliche. The only thing I would change is to remove the tall piece of grass on the left side of the window.
