It took me some time to make heads or tails of what the persons doing (okay I admit, looking at stupid pics made me stupid)..I get the pic and I like it and I hope people don't mark it down because of the effort they have to make in looking at it (or was it just me)

Beautiful shot.. If not the ribbon then at least the top ten worthy pic. I have just a slight issue with the processing of the wing of the bird at the bottom right. Oh my, I re-read the sentence.. I'm getting a bit creepy with the things I notice. I have a feeling that imperfection got the votes a bit down. But oh well..still a great shot.

Very good composition and colour though the quality gives it a disadvantage. have you given it an effect or zoomed it? I actually like the painted in effect but DPCers don't or do they? The final results can only tell.
