Wow! AA would like this very much. Great job of enhancing details in the shadows. Super control of highlights. Great tonal range throughout. 9

If AA had ever decided to place people in his landscape images, this is how he would have done it. Amazing tones and great composition. Your masterful processing and BW conversion of this image earns it my top score 10 and is my favorite in this challenge. Beautiful and eye-pleasing image.

I looked at this image for a long time. Must have been exciting to stand in what appears to be the same spot as Ansel's "Winter Storm Clearing". There's a lot to like in this image. I like the contrast and the zones. Maybe too bright in the clouds, or maybe I'd like to see more detail in the clouds, but sometimes the clouds don't cooperate. There are some factors holding back the score on this image. I have looked at it on two different computers/monitors. Seems to be pixelation in a couple spots. Not sure if you unintentionally lowered the JPG quality too much. Some halos, too. Could be a filter you applied. Might be oversharpening artifacts. Sure is a great scene, but it does not snap to clarity for me.

Great sky and scene. The sky is perfect. The black shadow on the foreground ridge has lost detail. The tree branches reaching up into the sky are a distraction.

The sky gradient is somewhat posterized. And, it would have been easy to clone out the contrail. I do like the scene and the half moon.

Good tones. Unlevel horizon. Needs a CCW rotation.

Gorgeous landscape. Great sky. Well processed. I scored it well. As an aside, AA would not have included the barbed wire fence in his scene. Fencing off the ranges was and still is controversial. Anathema to the protectors of the wilderness at the time. I didn't mark down your score for the inclusion of the fence.

Excellent image. I scored it well. However, the manmade stuff here is one of the things AA used his environmental photograph to campaign against. I didn't mark down your score because of it, but it's one of the things which would be highly offensive to AA during the time of his landscape work.
