Big Treeby byetkoComment: Interesting POV. I'd like the image more if the bottom 25% was in focus, too. Nice detail in the bark in the center middle. |

Meeker, Longs, Eclipse and Cloudsby sophiawoodComment: As you might guess, I love this scene. For the AA challenge, I think there are too many midtones dominating the scene. The strength of the image is the sun rays and teh silhouette of the mountains. The silver lining to the clouds accompanying the annular eclipse are interesting and dramatic. The highlights vs. the gray clouds make it better than a flat image. |

Grand Tetonby AllenPComment: Grand scene. While it isn't a high key image, the brighter tones are a bit glaring. I do like the sky and clouds in the top 20% of hte scene. The clouds directly over the mountain range seem unnatural. The snow on the mountains can be sun reflectors. Looks like the snow areas have been throttled back. The barn is a good element of interest as is the stream flowing through. I think the barn and the area in front of the barn look overexposed. I wish I had liked this better. |

irisby tnunComment: I like the deep DOF. There are some hot spots ( or very white) areas on the petals. In the other areas of the flower, the detail and exposure is good. Not sure about the crop. I think the image begs for a third blossom, the stem of which appears on the right side. Somewhat unfortunate crop. It's a very natural looking scene. |

Water Stepsby dahlinComment: I truly like the exposure, with no blown out highlights. A slightly longer shutter speed would have given a smoother water flow. Some detail is lost in the background shadows, but it doesn't bother me. I think this is a very well composed image from an interesting pov. |

Dramaby youpeeComment: While I like the numerous silhouettes in this scene, it does mean some shadow detail has been blocked up. This is a very attractive seascape with wonderful elements of interest. I really like the sky detail and tones. |

Aspen groveby bigskyeyeComment: A very nice aspen grove, it is. The light situation seems to be harsh. I might have tried some different color channel filters during conversion to monochrome. Although, I think you've presented the sky nicely. The cloud over the peak is mighty bright. The mountain is pretty good with regards to tone, although it looks somewhat overprocessed. It's possible the image is slightly oversharpened. A few areas of local contrast look stressed. |

A Visit to Floridaby nidiciComment: Pretty nice distant cumulonimbus. I do like the tree with moss hanging down. There is some halo brightness around the tree, which is a slight negative. There is toning on this image. I respect your choice to use this toning, but I find it to be a distraction keeping me from loving the scene. |

The Shepherd by HighNoonerComment: Very good. Pretty harsh light and your shot angle i acute to the sun. I'm not sure about the compositon and portrait orientation. To me, this feels crunched and cropped too tightly from side to side. I do like the head on, over the back, view of this scene. Your control of exposure is good with little detail (if any) lost in the shadows. |

REMEMBRANCEby alexlkyComment: Interesting IR image. For this AA challenge, I wish the sharp focus in the middle portion extended to the edges of the image. The dark tones are pretty dark, with some shadows block up. The detail in the foliage is wonderful. |
