Superb. I especially like the marks in the sand from the plants left blowing in the wind. I also like the patch of blue sky with clouds above. The brown sand with great texture is a complement to the winter blue sky. 9

I'll guess Ring-billed Gull, Larus delawarensis. The breast feathers appear slightly blown out , but they are in the sunshine. I see the ruffled feathers. Meets the challenge.

Lens flare adds some color, but I think it may have caused some flat contrast on the right and middle. Strands of hair blowing in the breeze. Meets the challenge.
