Calmness of the Mighty Windby acrotideComment: Okay, I've looked at this over and over, and I've finally realised just what is...."off?"... It's my perspective! Seeing it in thumbnail again triggered the lightbulb. This is one of those shots that need to be viewed from a bit farther back to allow all the elements to blend perfectly. We're noticing small details which, alone, may not seem quite right somehow, but fit perfectly into the totality.
When I move back from my screen it works wonderfully and I can totally picture it as a large print in a simple frame. :) |

White Orchidby w4jzzComment: I love the soft focus and thank you for telling me how to obtain it. I've tried a few things, but never thought of... pantyhose!
For this challenge, I think it has the perfect calm, dreamlike balance.

Yummy Pastryby UAE_GuyComment: Lol, what a face! :) Good DOF, getting the whole head in focus and JUST the head, nice soft lighting. Personally, I'd crop fairly tightly, as the rest of the body isn't necessary to tell the story, and you want your viewer to concentrate on that great mouthful. |

Pieces of a Fountainby BK26Comment: The processing brings out the lion beautifully, but makes the bright background very distracting. I'd try a tighter crop so that we can focus on the exquisite carving :) |

Jumpby ergatesComment: My eye searches for something to focus on, and unfortunately that always ends up being the sharp water spray near his feet. |

Trinity does Tae Kwon Doby munkiboyComment: Good capture of her action, but the background competes terribly for our attention. I suspect a shallower DOF wasn't feasible because of exposure issues? |

Going for Goldby abroken1Comment: I'd like to see just a bit more space above his head. It almost looks like his arm is up to ward off the edge of the frame. Good capture otherwise, especially his expression of intensity. It shows clearly that it's certainly not as easy as they always make it look :) |
