Crack'dby posthumousComment: "the middle picture is also used as a background", which breaks the duplicating "law", IMO :(
I still love it.
The heavy grey sky depresses me with the thought of a drenching rain, yet when I follow the concrete riverbed down through the frame I see that that rain creates and sustains life at the end of its path. |

Stream House - Oakland, New Jersey USAby corinneComment: The colour adjustments seem really harsh to me. The purple might be an interesting accent by the green overpowers what looks, to me, like it should be a peaceful, calming scene. |

Sidewaysby paynekjComment: I see a face with bigggg eyes :)
Perhaps boosting midrange levels a bit would help bring this out stronger and help counteract the natural reaction of tipping the head to see it as the mind knows it nature created it? |

split leavesby clictacameraComment: Nature is amazing :)
I find the shot a little busy though, and the dark foreground leaf distracting. It may have been more effective if you could have concentrated more on one set of leaves. |

The dry Woodby vishalpsuComment: I love the composition. The opposition of the lines of wood and water accentuate the differences in colour and texture.
To bring that out even more, I'd try boosting the saturation a little on the red channel to give the wood a bit richer shade, and tweaking the levels a touch. Raising the midrange a bit would allow a little more contrast while still showing lovely detail in the textures.
I wouldn't want to see any dramatic changes though... it's a lovely, peaceful shot :) |
