science fictionby tapcityComment: Unfortunately, I have no idea what is going on here. This looks to me like a totally random shot in someone's garage. I've stared at this for a while, but I just can't make it work. |

Better Living through Chemistryby maynerd12Comment: Good idea. I like the composition, color, and the reflective surface that everything is on, but it seems a bit flat. Also, the whites have a pretty strong blue cast to them. Perhaps a different white balance would have helped. Still a 6 from me. |

Cloning: One and the Sameby ValdoComment: I assume this is a legal double exposure of the same flower/vase in two different positions. Great idea and very well executed. Alas, I just don't find it to be a very interesting photo to look at for very long. Still, you get a 6 from me. |

Macroscopic Photon Interactionsby andraskComment: I certainly see a lot of photon interactions, but the photo just doesn't end up being appealing to my eye. I'm not a fan of the brownish-yellow, and the glass thing looks very clunky (I don't know how to describe what I mean by that very well...it's like it's almost in focus and then massively sharpened or something). |

Scientist : I'm just testing it honey...by craigesterComment: I get the idea here, but I think it would help me a lot to know what that thing is that is being flamed, and I just can't tell. I have discovered that photographing fire and having it look cool is really hard. My best advice is to use a small aperture and really fast shutter speed (like f/8, 1/200 or so) so as not to blow out the flame, and then light the rest of the stuff in the shot like crazy. |

Adding to the pool of knowledgeby johst582Comment: I like the idea, but it got lost in the execution for me. I don't like the green and blue colors together, and I would like to see the whole dropper thing in nice sharp focus. I do like the aperture choice to create little stars out of the points of light. |
