A What............by DonalComment: You puzzled me! I have no clue what this is. Unfortunately, the photo has some issues. Using the max size of 640 px on the longest side always helps. I'm not sure what sort of processing has been done here, but it looks bad. I do really like the composition. At a larger size and not processed strangely I would like this. |

sexby tbrengleComment: Ha! Funny title. I certainly hope it has nothing to do with the object in the photo! This is really cool looking. I like the shallow DOF and the way the line of focus slices the photo diagonally. Ice crystals on glass, perhaps a windshield of a car on a cold morning? |

Alas...by CoinCounterComment: Seems to be an appropriate title, at least for me. It looks like you tried to get it in focus, and didn't quite make it. Using the max size of 640 px on the longest side is always helpful. A leaf? |

Recreationby ZeusComment: Um...a cat jumping over the camera which is inside a cardboard box with a hole cut in it? This is funny, but it isn't going to get a good score from me. The only thing that is close to macro is the out of focus cat leg (that's what I'm calling it, anyway), and the total image area is really small. |

Alien Mountain at Sunriseby challengedpComment: That's a cool looking leaf. I think it would work better if the entire length of the leaf was in focus. There is some funky orange oversaturation/banding in the background. Cool idea, but it got lost a little in the execution. |

Spiky by frogletComment: Damn! Spiky is right. This is cool. Nice sharp focus, pretty colors. I would guess that it is either a plant/flower of some kind or an underwater beastie. |

Dried pulpby TammerComment: Stacked up paper/cotton stuffing stuff used for packing material? I like it, but there's no wow. I think a fourth one in the upper right corner might help the composition. The big black corner is distracting to me. |

Shinyby GrandmaEMTComment: Geode/crystal formation of some kind. Lighting is not so good. The whole thing needs to be quite a bit brighter, but you've already got a pretty blown out spot over there. |

Guess ?by OmniComment: Some sort of plant material? This is pretty good. It has the look of a lot of sharpening after noise reduction (which I'm not a fan of), but it's not too bad. |

Blue bubblesby TheStickComment: How bizarre. This looks like the exact same setup as another pic in this challenge. Alas, the other one is much better. The lack of contrast and focus, and the funky blue tint just don't do it for me. No guess as to what it is. |
