ps.. Haven't experienced dust problems yet( knock on wood!) w the 100-400.. I use this lens all the time mainly b/c i like to shoot wildlife /animals and just didn't have enuf reach..
Basically depends on what u like to do the most governs which lens one chooses..
Not sure if helpful or not..
