Steve Davidson — Astoria, Oregon — September 2006by Bear_MusicComment: Blackberries are the best - make great jam (jelly to you Americans) too. Steve's got good taste in fruit. But I have to say, my biggest concern was that he was out in the desert without toilet paper and you know what excessive fruit does... Cactus can't really substitute for TP, after all.... ;-) |

Happy Home by the Riverby yakatmeComment: Dominican Republic is both rich and poor - the extremes of each are visible there. And, yes, you're right, no matter how humble the shack, or how muddy the waters, the white laundry is perfect. In my experience, Dominicans are wonderful people and very welcoming. Nice to see your picture and hear your account. |

Solitudeby ShaneBlakeComment: That tree is suffering from a blight unfortunately. The overall effect is interesting - but noisy. |

Rebirthby BeeCeeComment: Nice idea. Trees grow again from their roots in times of disaster. |

Eucalyptus Reachingby electinaComment: Gum tree bark is especially smooth and your photo captures that well. Eucalyptus grows the world over. When it was planted in the colder parts of Russia, the tree adapted to become deciduous. |
