Dum spiro speroby odriewComment: I kinda like it. It looks, to me, like a photo that's on the way to something good, but somehow it is missing out a bit on the storyline. I mean, the woman looks so free and unencumbered, her reflection and the water all around her support that, but then there's a straight line across the picture, above her head, and things are darker and in a different world there. That line stands out a lot more than I wish it would stand out, and I also somehow am not getting the connection between the top and the bottom part. I have to say though, any picture that makes you wonder, and think, is good. |

overlay12bby DeniseComment: Nice work. I like that flower, it would be a great flower to experiment doing abstract with (or, with which to experiment doing abstract, for the purists). |

day13 bby salmiakkiComment: Good, I'm proud of you! :) [totally teasing about that "dark side" stuff]
Reading Jutilda's comment below, I wanted to add, "straight out of a European vacation scrapbook kinda wet on the left side from the water running out of the picture onto the pages of the book." Oh well. I like the picture, and how it looks with the texture, but man, that horizon line is tilted! Anyway. Ursula, go away now! |

Day-13by salmiakkiComment: Oh, no, I thought you'd joined the Dark Side! I'm crushed. :) A good night's sleep will do this to people, get them all cheerful and wonderfully upbeat. Maybe people should be prevented from sleeping too much when they're in a bad mood, or else they go pretty on us, hmmmmm.
This looks good though. |

Day-12by salmiakkiComment: Welcome to the Dark Side!
This is beautiful. This gets me thinking about the possibility for another picture, where you have a top part of trees like you have here, maybe even darker and more gloomy/dreadful, and a similar size bottom part with roots, a sort of "reflection" of what's up in the air, but underground. I'm going to try something like that. Gotta get myself a good gloomy picture of trees, which shouldn't be hard this time of year ...
:)
Added: I hope you don't mind me taking your idea and extending it for a picture for myself. Message edited by author 2010-11-13 13:10:34. |

Cat patchworkby carofoComment: That's a really good idea, the way you used the Vered texture as frames for the mosaic pieces. Very creative use of a texture. Nice. |
