Such a fancy place! I like how the yellow frames it at the bottom. The yellow is also reflected a bit at the top, and that, to me, brings it all together.

I think your other comments are quite on the mark. For myself, my main impression is that you're trying to convey too much in one photo. The landscape, the river, the road, the leaves at top. I find it all a bit overwhelming. But, on the other hand, I have no idea how to handle a situation like this one. I do like this place though, it is beautiful.
