Food 01 - Lycheesby hajekaComment: Interesting how the white fruit looks to be closer to the front fruit, yet blurrier than the orangeish fruit in background at left. I like the texture of the front fruit. |

A Fungus Among Usby dandavisComment: Little shelf mushrooms, they are so beautiful! I like the way they look against the browns of the leaves. |

southern california #01by bspurgeonComment: I'm curious about something ... in reading a little about pinhole photography, one of the things mentioned is clarity throughout. This photo is rather "glassy" (or "foggy" looking. How is that done with pinhole? Was it a foggy day? Or is it the long exposure? |

Floodsby sulamkComment: It's a curious picture with all the greys to white, very little dark. The heavy grey frame brings out that aspect of the image even more. Not sure it works to help or hinder ... |

Shadows in the Snow by ladpupmoeComment: Ahhh, long shadows, I've been looking at these for a couple years trying to figure out how to make a decent shot of them. I like how these look so horizontal compared to the trees that look so vertical, but not quite vertical, sort of vertical falling over. I wish the trees at top had a bit better light, to see a bit more of their structure; it is difficult to make pictures in bright light such as in this scene. I also sort of wish the frozen creek were not cut off at far left. I do like the graphic feel of the image. I am wondering what hunkering down a bit further (getting closer to the snow to make the picture, or, a lower viewpoint) would do for a composition such as this one. Or maybe, climb a tree and make a picture from up high, hmmmmm. I like the little bits of snow at the sides of some of the trees.
Good start. Message edited by author 2011-01-03 11:34:23. |
