Wow, I thought it was a fence! Amazing how deceptive these closeups can be. I sort of like the colour here, just hinting, but enough to add interest, but it would be worth it to try it in B/W.

The colours are beautiful, I like the square (or almost square) crop, and it's quite interesting to have all those stripes there. I am not so sure if the selectively soft focus works in this instance, but I'm having trouble figuring out why. Hmmmm. Maybe it's because of the bubbles and other distortions, they make the whole thing look slightly messy, and my eyes are having trouble figuring out what to look at. I don't know. This lamp is worth many more experiments.
