It definitely has a diagonal feel, and it's a good idea for the challenge, and a good idea for a photo. The treatment, IMHO, doesn't do the image justice, it makes it look fakey where it could be such a strong image in B/W. ~6

Very inventive! Are those centimetres? They have to be. He, he, I like it that the pattern doesn't have seam allowances included, I never liked patterns with seam allowances. About the photo, it has a beautiful diagonal feel to it. It is a bit strange, and I'm not quite sure what the point of it is except humour, but I like it. ~8

Beautiful! I like it how you managed to keep all the tips crisp and clean, while still having a very shallow DOF. I need to find out after the challenge what lens/f-stop you used, my attempts always have some straw tips not in focus, and it's very annoying. I really like it also how the further on the outside the straws are, the more they fade into white - works beautifully. ~10

I think, for this image to work, both pins would need to be in perfect focus, or, one of them would have to be way more out of focus. Also, the background needs to be lighter. And last, the placement of the pins leads the eyes out of the image (to the right) rather than into it to explore the possibilities. I hope this helps. ~4
