Mysterious Orb of Powerby smardazComment: Never would have thought of making a long exposure of a disco ball. What an idea! Amazing how you got the edges sharp (no wobbles). I like it overall. I especially like the striping that happened from the reflections on the mirrors. Very nice. |

_MG_4046by docpjvComment: I was very curious about this one. I didn't know from the thumbnail if it was a rock or a plant part. I still don't know what it is. From looking at a few of your picture, I really am getting the impression that you're very good at giving back conflicting feelings, emotions, with them. This one is both so organic and so rock-like. It looks both so hard, but at the same time like it is melting into a fog. Very weird. I love the colour! |

_MG_8570by docpjvComment: This time I guessed right from the thumbnail. Grasses. This one is BEAUTIFUL! I know I don't really know this place where you made this picture, and yet, I "know" this place. It looks and smells familiar, in a very good way. The juicy rich greens, the beautiful gentle reflection, the floating lily pads, the black water, and the way the picture goes from very sharp in the foreground plane to blur in back, it all works together for a picture that is much more than a technical exercise ... it gives back the feeling of a place, it works, and is good to look at. Very beautiful! |

_MG_8576by docpjvComment: Ahhh, a tree :) I like it! Good use of selective desaturation. It looks like a giant with messy hair, and you're looking up at it. This is a kind giant, wrinkly, with little sprouts at its side, it almost looks like it is trying to pass a telephone to you for you to take a call (don't ask why it made me think of that, but it did). I like the second tree pointing at top right. Neat picture. |

dune plant in Mozambique-002by docpjvComment: Another picture that has this dual feel to it: both ethereal, delicate, soft, and, at the same time, neon, in your face, bold. This is a strange picture and I'd love to know how you did it. The title is intriguing. I am finding it quite fascinating to look at this. |

_MG_8777by docpjvComment: When I first looked at the thumbnail, I thought it was an abstract picture of trees. Imagine the surprise on opening it to see this! I love the texture feel of the photo! The brown tones also are beautiful. I really like how it has this feeling of both a close-up and yet not a close-up, because the subject is so big. I love the hairs that show at top right. Anyway. A surprising shot, quite pleasant to look at. |
