Fantasy in Blue by wildirisComment: A glass paperweight or other similar glass object? The title suits the image perfectly. I wonder if adjusting the colours to just a tad brighter would work here. Looks almost reptilian in nature. ~7 |

Embraceby birkinComment: He, he, looks like dracula roses! Beautiful shapes. The colours, to my eyes, are not the most pleasing, although they sort of work for this shot. ~8 |

No Hints Hereby mike_dComment: Gold and silver on blue - reminds me of graduation. Something metal, of course, but what? No clue. Good presentation though, albeit maybe a bit static, centred as it is. ~7 |

spots before my eyesby rlancasterComment: The ultimate abstract: everything out of focus :) An observation, it looks from the shapes that you didn't use a fully open lens? Why? If everything is to be out of focus, and all you want is colour shapes, why wouldn't you use your bigges aperture on the lens? Then again, maybe I'm wrong and you did.
As for the picture, it doesn't really work for me, because even though the colours are attractive in a subdued way, there isn't much to hold me here - even if I squint my eyes and look at it, it still is simply some colours. That's not bad by itself, but there needs to be something more, something that speaks to the viewer, not something in focus, but something that connects better. If that makes sense. ~5 |

"the relique"by kundimansabuwanComment: The edge of some sort of fabric (shawl or so?), rotated??? Probably way off. I like this one. I like the contrast between the dark side, and the sunny side. The colours are really quite beautiful here. ~9 |

Guess This OrElse!by GeneralEComment: Or else what?!?!? It could be a closeup of a leaf maybe. As much as I like selective focus, I think, in this case, the image would benefit from being sharp all over. The light glares also hurt a bit. I like the golden colours. ~5 |

sticks?by CrazyStripesssComment: hairbrush I pressume? I'm not sure the hairs work as an advantage to the photo, or as a distraction. I like the selective focus on the second row, but I also think moving the camera ever so slightly upwards to avoid the two little red intrusions at bottom left would be good. The colours in the background are nice, but again, I'm not sure if they benefit the image or distract. ~5 |

P A R T Y !by okiesisiComment: Mardi-gras beads, or some other kind of beads? It's a good idea, and the colours are quite dramatic. As an composition though, it is difficult to tell where the point of interest is - it's like there's colour all over, but not anything in particular to attract long-time attention or keep the viewer looking. Your focus seems to be right at the left hand side of the image, the darkest section of the whole picture. It might have been better to focus on a brighter, more attractive place, such as the green bead at the right towards the bottom. ~5 |
