Cathedral Wreath

Comment:
I like how the architectural parts stand out very clear and sharp. The picture seems to get less sharp towards the bottom (the lettering, and also the wreath somewhat). The contrast between the colourful wreath and the blue/gray tones of the building is startling.

Beautiful reflection image, very centred, very peaceful and balanced. My one nitpick is the [sharpening?] halo at the top of the cliffs at top left.

Looks almost alien! It is interesting how beautiful everyday subjects can be.

Good morning hues, and it is nice that you kept the little bit of beach in the photo. The picture is probably not dramatic enough to make it to the top.

Beautiful combination of still and movement! I like this one very much. The man looks like he's really interacting with the pidgeons, and the backdrop, the people not paying attention, works well.

That is a lot of smoke! I wish there was a little less light behind the smoke, so that one could see a bit of detail through it or in it. I also wonder if this image wouldn't work beautifully in B&W. It is the kind of image that sometimes lends itself for stylized B&W presentations. Good catch!

In some ways this is very, very beautiful. The colours are outstanding, and it is quite commendable that you managed to keep the gradients smooth, no banding that I can see (except on the ball, the banding there is noticeable).

I think what is keeping me from really liking this image is the ball. From a technical POV, the colour on it is too different than the colours of the papers, it is too strong maybe. There is the banding. But most of all, the halo around the edge! In a very graphic image like this one, that halo really doesn't work and distracts quite a bit.

But it certainly is an eye-catching creation! It even looks somewhat like an eye peeping through a courtain.

... or ... NEWS FLASH! Toddler eats pet dog! [just teasing].

This is a very personal moment, and likely a memory that you're going to cherish for years to come. It is also probably too personal an image to do well at a very public contest such as the challenges here.

An excellent candid, and probably a wonderful memory for either you or whoever you took this image for. Her smile and her eyes are priceless! I like it that the whole image is in tones of red (is that her favourite colour?). It is probably a bit too personal a picture for it to do well in a very public contest such as this one.

The two birds talking to each other makes this image. Your choice of DOF is very good for the situation. I like the colours also, all warm, the reds against yellows and browns. What doesn't work so well is that the picture doesn't look quite sharp (and this kind of picture really needs to be razor sharp to work). Also, it would be good to throw just a little bit more light onto the eye of the bird in front; as it is right now, the brightest area is right behind the eye, on the feathers, and it makes the eye look dull.
