landscape with rockby tnunComment: yes, you understand what a landscape is, and where it is, and how only a landscape can see a landscape. I'm hanging you in my fantasy landscape.

Fertile Fieldsby glad2badadComment: there's always a funny feeling to a landscape without sky. This one manages quite a bit of depth without it, showing different planes of crops in different attitudes/altitudes of mist. With its complex but unbroken geometries, the image is more a handshake than a kiss, but friendly enough. |

Land. Sea. Sky. by LydiaComment: nothing at all is happening on the bottom and top thirds. the middle third is so exactly middle that it feels static, and the big edges of empty blue sap energy from it. |

My happy placeby MaggyeComment: the art filter and poppy pastels give it a cartoonish quality. feels more like a background than a complete photo. |

Where the Water Fallsby StructorComment: this has a miniature, chunky feel to it. the water is very dry. in fact, all the elements, land, water, & sky, all feel like clay lumped together.
it's a bit disturbing. it paradoxically has a 3-D quality with no sense of space. |

The Lost Cityby GeorgesBogaertComment: I assume zilla was put there precisely so photographers could take this photo, but this is the first one I've seen so I find it very amusing. |

City Isle Bridgeby NikonJebComment: flowers in foreground are a plus. But the big concrete thing reflected in the water is just like a big old cinderblock. needs more blood and lightning. |

Late Summer Stillnessby GeorgeComment: a little mucky, and you can't always cure the blahs with high saturation.
i do like the hourglass take on landscape though. |
