New Waveby melismaticaComment: I know there's one artist in particular who is known for taking photographs of her self that look like film stills (sorry I don't know her name off the top of my head), but it's such rich territory that it goes well beyond her provenance. I might even consider it a genre. This does remind me of French New Wave, not least of all because it has a 60s feel to it. The post-processing is a little over-the-top, which doesn't bother me, actually, but does make it seem a little Andy Warhol. |
