Black Blossomsby dizneewenchComment: picture perfect act of communication through ruthlessly efficient composition, but also a great performance by the right hand. 8 |

Hi-bicusby coolblueComment: a wonderful unnatural range of color makes for a successful transition from photo to painting. 8 |

Elderberryby rioloboComment: the difficult thing with flowers is to trump the beauty of the flower with the beauty of the photographer's eye. You have done that here. 9 |

La Traviataby whiteroomComment: my pick of the challenge. enigmatic and yet dramatic, like an opera in a language I don't understand... 10 |

Ice Cubeby levyj413Comment: I would have picked this as my favorite. Her coldness comes across as something more profound, an emotional state. isolation? but there's also a sense of apprehension, which implies that there is hope. it is not a despairing portrait by any means. the viewer feels a connection with the subject. |

Missing youby LalliSigComment: I can see why this was validated. It is out of the camera perfection. You are the bomb. the diagonal of the sill(?) and the diagonals of his cap (and the diagonals of his collar), the distribution of dirt, all aid in conveying the mood of the child's expression. the blurred background is just more dirt, just more moody brownness. 10 |

Hibiscus Bloomby 777STANComment: I like the delicate color and softness that everyone else is voting you down for. |

COWby KronusComment: pretty horse! I like the tight crop. a lot of people complain about the edges of a subject being cropped off. those people know nothing about composition. |
