the surprisingly curved lines of the dog interact well with the curved roof tiles. the large expanse of sky reminds us that we are looking up, which humbles us and gives an entirely different tenor to the picture. It's almost as if we're in hell looking up to heaven. And there is the leftmost head of Cerberus, making sure we never get there. 9
