I like this at least as well as your blue. For me, your two pictures represent two paths to the universal. Your blue is universal via the iconic. This picture is universal via the individual. I like the personal path. She, as an individual, seems to be fighting against your iconic lighting (light through a window into a dark place). She is poised between darkness and light, but only because your camera stopped her motion. But we believe more in her and her motion than in you and your camera.

This vibrates between being a photo of cats and a photo of a door. It is this vibration which makes the photo great. The door becomes an overly elaborate framing device for the cats, and then suddenly the cats become an overly elaborate decoration for the door, and then back again.
