Day 7: It went under the fridgeby SiggavComment: It's odd how I can't see the edge between floor and wall. I can't decide if it's distracting or a stroke of genius. Nice composition, but I suppose I should thank the cat for that. Her tail is in perfect position! |

Doing the Splits Day 7by sherpetComment: nice mix of reality and fantasy. they really look like they're interacting. I like the composition, too, with the wren's tail parallel to the frame. |

Wake-upby raishComment: how did you get gravity to go in two directions? I love how this photo is partitioned, each cat has its own world. |

Geothermal Paletteby rinacComment: I was another one of your 17 sevens. Admittedly, there is no real focus for my interest, but I liked the mysterious expanse of a beautiful shade of yellow. Maybe if the stuff floating in it were more interesting... you should've thrown some Barbies in there! ;) |

leaveby hannekeComment: I like this. there's something strangely intimate about it. and unlike someone else, I like how you blend into the leaf, in fact it is essential for the emotion of the shot. |

DSC_0007-walks-by-himself.jpgby raishComment: lovely! the odd angle adds a lot of interest, the cat's diagonal crossing the stones' diagonal, and the orange and blue go together so well. |

Niagara Fallsby agenkinComment: wow, I thought MY shot was underrated, but this takes the cake. e301 did an excellent job pointing out the technical problems with my picture, but I have no explanation for your score, except that people fear oblivion. |

Synapseby posthumousComment: Originally posted by e301: Interesting; My first reaction is that the exposure lacks some control - has the impression of being brought back too far from over-exposed, or something, and I find the visibility of the cow's shoulder unsettles the composition a bit - my eye can't help but be pulled there - a slightly tighter crop might have made that balance more comfortable. background is something of a problem, not working with your subjects very happily; but the idea, overall, I like, and it's been a lot more fun to look at than most. |
damn, that's a good comment. wow, yes, I did bring it back from overexposed. you've done a great job of listing the problems of this shot. I just didn't know how to overcome them. |
