Staged shots should go all the way into weirdness. There should be no pretense of them being unstaged. Or they should be completely convincing as being unstaged. Too many ply some mediocre middle ground. This is just on the edge of being sufficiently weird. It's just that dropping petals on a beautiful woman was done already in American Beauty, and this is kinda similar, though it has a more exotic flair. It's the exotic flare, and the bold brutal highlight on the face and arm that bump this up to an 8 for me.
