The Night Clubby h2Comment: This photograph
1) fulfills the challenge. the whole atmosphere and illusion is achieved through lighting.
2) is so damn funny.
3) might keep me from ever eating a banana again. either that, or make me strangely aroused whenever I do. oh wait, that already happens...

Evening sunby beriluComment: the yellows give it an old-timey feel (you know, the look of rotting paper :) I like the dash-like highlights on the buildings. 7 |

Day 7: "Old Bridge"by renegade1966Comment: I think this is a successful landscape. I get a nice impression of the size and scope of the bridge, thanks to the foreground elements. I think you found just the right balance of foreground to background. Also, this looks like a night shot with a long exposure. That creates an interesting sky color and also brings out nice colors in the bridge (and in general I like the blues greens and reds here). It looks like there's some kind of dam(?) next to the bridge. This creates another perspective line that I think adds interest to the shot, though some will probably tell you it distracts from the bridge. I myself am not that easily distracted. In fact, I look for extra elements. As long as they interact in an interesting way, extra elements generally make a picture more rich.
If I had asked you for a picture of the bridge, for example, I would be very happy with this shot. As you might be able to tell, though, I'm not "wowed" by the shot, but I do think it's well done. Message edited by author 2006-10-23 11:21:32. |

Must Have Coffeeby ElaineComment: The grain and the cramped composition add interest to the shot, while at the same time generating low votes. This is a perfect example of a great Team Suck photo. That's why you are the Queen! |
