Bloom D'Orvilleby colorcarnivalComment: This really pops! A truly imaginative interpretation on the challenge. If this weren't already Top Ten, I'd nominate it for an OOBIE. |

High Line Overpassby pawdrixComment: you're getting killed for the soft focus, aren't you? what's the deal with submitting beautiful pictures that won't score well? I thought you were done with that! ;) |

B & W Collectionby mia67Comment: I'm generally not crazy about extreme close-up portraits because there is no context, but there are exceptions and this one does a good job with what little context it has. For example the hair in one corner complements the lace in the opposite corner. And the shadows are terrific, they really "mold" the face into three dimensions. It also adds interest that she is looking away. So, not my favorite of yours but still a successful and appealling portrait. |

The Agedby jjusaComment: there are some good things about this photo, the exposure and focus are very good, the background has some interesting lines without distracting from the subject, but still it doesn't transcend "centrally placed candid". In other words, I'm not sure why I'm looking at this man other than that it fulfills a challenge. |

It's funny you say that, because I get the distinct feeling that there are people sitting in those chairs... I just can't see them. |

girl in the warby silverfoxxComment: Svetlana, sometimes I wonder where us artists would be without a burgeois to confuse. Maybe *that* is why I stay at DPC! I love it when you play with concepts like a poet-juggler. |

i don't knowby silverfoxxComment: ...if you're wearing pants.
haunting image and it goes a long way toward proving that "i don't know" is a feeling. |
