very pleasing to look at. has a kind of old movie feeling to it, but more detailed. I particularly like the chunky blur of the background. I also like flat but textured feathers. I say "flat" mostly because the torso is flat and the head does not "pop out." it creates a kind of desultory mood. the wings and tail are more separate from the body than the head is. I also like the dark detail of the beak. It's a nice gloomy atmospheric image.

ok i get the "posthumous" elements, like the awkward crop and the missing eyes, but ew I don't want to look at his feet! maybe too posthumous for posthumous! Nice contrasty black and white, though. and good composition.
