Life Along The Canalby GreetmirComment: Pretty scene :) Regarding the processing, my opinion is that you need some of your blacks back to balance the tones. The lack of shadows makes it look a bit washed out, and without darker tones, the greens really overwhelm and the biker is lost. Also, you might enhance some warmer tones to complement and offset the green and the blue tint of bright sunlight. A lot of these things can be accomplished using a combination of levels and selective color. Alternatively, if you want to keep it very artsy, you could try blending one of the artistic filters that feature black dots or strokes, like poster edges or ink outlines. Thanks for sharing this. Have fun experimenting :) |

Stary Nightby EmerkazaComment: I think it's really lovely. It's certainly not fake-looking by dpc standards! ;-) Interesting idea to convert it and an impressive editing job! |

Handy.jpgby kdkaboomComment: You know, this is a mighty cool piece of art. But I also notice that this is one mighty hot portrait of the boomer - you got a Christina Ricci thing going on there, Edwina Scissorshands. |

Pet(ting) Therapy - Good for the Pet and the Petterby maxaz1Comment: I totally agree with you that the softness of the focus is perfect for the soft mood and the dappled light. Desat was a wise choice. The dog's pose is angelic and the petting hand is so incidental and natural. Was this candid? This is a lovely picture and a great idea for alternative medicine. |

Winter Fruitby bmartuchComment: This is beautiful! They really do look like ice-glazed cherries!! Their color is perfect. You've almost got a natural vignette going in the background. I like the composition here, but fyi dpc will knee-jerkedly give you a higher score if you crop the right so that the focussed cherries lie near a third line. Actually, this might be interesting with a square crop. I'm glad you braved the cold to get this! Hurry Spring! |

Photo Therapyby kdkaboomComment: Oh don't worry about them turdy self-righteous folk. You got a buncha high scores in there. I *love* this composition and the stark contrast. So cool that you got him in perfect profile, knapsack and all. I ilke your frame too. If I'd have finished voting, it would have been at least an 8 from me. |
