Do I know you?by bmartuchComment: Ha ha ha.... ha ha ha... great subject! Beautiful colors and great focus! So sorry - I might have warned you about the farm animal backlash - especially when you include a heifer heiny! Well anyway, I like it! |

B L I N Gby JuliBocComment: Good idea. Works for me as bling and as pop culture. Ha, you even could have invoked pirates of the caribbean/johnny depp... Good job keeping focus/mellowing the processing... it's not gummy or harsh like shiny jewelry with scads of highlights sometimes looks. |

You're not my Mommyby JuliBocComment: Oh what an expression... great title! She even appears to be lifting one brow! I love what you did with the processing - it looks so professional - the glow from the white at the bottom... For the purposes of DPCisms, yah, probably a tighter crop would have put her eyes on a thirds line (although I think the hair is interesting). Also, what I've noticed is that dpc voters will forgive almost anything if the eyes are sharp. I mean, look at 3rd place in the pop culture challenge.. editing nightmare but the dumb eyes are sharp. Possibly this child's eyes could have been dodged, saturated and sharpened and that would have gotten a higher vote. But me, I don't think this picture is too soft. And I love the natural, totally realistic skin tones and the damp curls. It befits the expression perfectly. Highly underrated shot, yes indeed. |

A Songby jerseyjimComment: Why was this dq'd if the singer was part of the original photo? I like your work with this. Of course you were trying for an OTT, humorous effect. It's so odd that people love stuff like HDR but not this. Condolences on having your gift disqualified. |
