Painting in Silkby LaMasComment: You are like a big vat full of creative juices! This was so close - it's only the darn basic editing that let you down. It looks simply amazing in thumbnail. You got a 9 from me. I will be looking forward to your future entries! |

Silky smooth as in a tie, or were you thinking something else?by MuppetComment: I think that this would have done better if it weren't for that title. It makes a viewer kinda uncomfortable ;-) It's a fine, thoughtful pose and ties are indeed silky smooth. The shadow is definitely funky but it's interesting the way it makes you look like a cutout. The tones and colors here make for a good, natural-looking portrait. Keep shooting and keep up the humor - just don't scare us with our own thoughts anymore, ok? ;-) |

Lushby krnodilComment: I think the folds and the color really impart a luxurious, silky feel to the shot. It's great as an abstract. Possibly a little gaussian blur or neat image would have made it smoother, but I kind of like the way the texture has a shine of its own. Your lighting is fabulous. Congrats on a new top fiver :) |

Smooth Water in the Desertby griz210Comment: Nice score! We got lucky with a waterfall-friendly crowd :) It's tough to do a long exposure during the day without blowing the sky. I had to crop mine out even though it was taken at dusk. Congrats on a new personal best! |

Watery Perspectivesby meyersComment: This was an 8 from me. Beautiful abstract. I wonder if a gaussian blur or a bucket of neat image might have made this look even silkier...? Though I kind of like being able to see the dots clearly. Nice bold entry! |

Chocolate Mint Creekby posthumousComment: You forgot to plop a chocolate mint bimbo on a thirds line, silly! BTW, I think this is either Greendell or Huntsville. This photo is zen because your eyes go everywhere and nowhere at once. And when I look at this picture, I get the sensation of a cool breeze wafting in one of my ears and out the other. I am amazing for that huge bone! |

Fresh New Magnolia Petalsby noranekoComment: Congrats on top 20! Great focus on them curlicues! And these petals are truly silky to the touch. The gentle lavender shadows in this image help to convey their softness. Nice work! |

A Dip in the Rail to Foreverby theSajComment: Well, at least no one harped on you for shooting tracks or accused you of not meeting the challenge! Great depth. Your highlights aren't too bad - I kind of like the way they make the rails seem to glow. |
