This is not a a dpc challenge entry. This is reaction club. You posted the picture voluntarily, in order to receive gut reactions. No matter where you post it, a man with makeup on, posing in an effeminate fashion, may garner the comment 'looks gay'. Sure it's not the most pc thing to say, but reaction club is for voicing your gut reaction. If you only wanted comments on the technicals of the shot, and not the content, you may have posted in the wrong place. Particularly if you tend to overreact to pointed comments.

Goodness, have you lapsed again? I liked alot this during voting. I'm grateful that you didn't remove the natural color cast of the sunset from the white of the boat. It glows with a realistic beauty and I can imagine actually being there.

Was the halo effect in the original? Sometimes this effect can be achieved by a combination of overexposure plus off-focus (both particular to the purple flower only, in this case). To support this, there doesn't seem to be a halo on the parts of the purple plant that are in focus. But, if you didn't see it until after you processed the photo, it possibly could be due to sharpening before you saturated. In any case, I think it's a pretty cool effect!

Ha, I thought it was an odd burro but now I believe it's a moose? I was pretty far off in my guess of the geography of where it was taken and where it would land in this challenge, but it's a great capture and I love the processing. Sorry it didn't do better.
