"The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist" by TimosabyComment: Not voting for obvious reasons, but for the record I feel this is a well edited shot and will get the blue if Medusa doesn't steal it.
That said:
1. It clearly DNMC because Satan is real and not mythological.
2. If this were a religion theme, it would not be an accurate representation because Satan is the most beautiful angel created. He's not the horns and hideousness so many have come to think.
However, given #2, perhaps this DOES meet the challenge because it is a fictional or mythological characterization of Satan -- one that has no bearing on the real creature.
Great editing though. Hope it doesn't make the front page so I'm not haunted for a week :) |

Night Angelby colorcarnivalComment: Angels are not mythical... and this is an interesting shot, but doesn't convey angel very well either... DNMC |

Spheres by NiallOTuamaComment: I love that one actually and wanted to give it a 6 or 7... but something about the processing and the imperfections on the balls/marbles/bearings made it a 5 from me. Especially the front most one has a couple of big scratches that really distracted.
Great idea though and I wouldn't hesitate to reshoot for another challenge.
Basic editing sucks too :) |

sunstrokeby klkitchensComment: Originally posted by giantmike: I have a feeling this was affected more by time than weather. That said, this photo does use depth of field pretty well. |
Nope. This was purely from heat. In fact, I was going to tone down the colors, but left the bright yellow not only as a play on "sun"stroke, but also to be very clear that it was not a time issue, but a weather issue. Oh well :) |
