Under the Hoodby BenstedComment: No idea what this is at all or how it fits the theme. I see the Audi logo, but that's about it. |

No Walky, No Worky!by ciaeagleComment: I don't get what I'm seeing here. The first time through I was very confused as it looks like a blob on the battery. Now with the title and looking a little harder, I assume it's a piece of exercise equipment? If so, it's too small to be clear and it would have been more effective to show someone using the equipment to provide power to the battery. |

The Secret Behind Old Camerasby seethroughmylensComment: Very nice attempt, and met the theme. A closer shot with more of the woman and just enough detail from the camera so that we know it's a camera would have made it even stronger. |

Slaves by gyabanComment: So I think I know who this photographer is and if I'm right, I'm sad because it's nowhere near their best work.
It does meet the challenge however, so that's good. Barely 50% if that many actually did. The "technology" part (woman using the mixer -- and what an odd mixer it is too!) is more overpowering in the photo than the behind the scenes part. The idea of slaves turning the gears is a very clever idea, however the castle walls as well as the fire tend to kill it.
As Simon Cowell would have said, they were "indulgent" and make little sense to the effect. They were overkill and show-offy. Just having the guy whip the slaves to the turn the gears would have been enough. I'd have like to have seen them a little more prominent too, but I can see that would be hard given the size of that beast of a mixer.
In all a decent attempt, but falls way short. 6 |

The Stereo Factoryby SebiComment: Yep, this is what the theme of the challenge was about and sad that so few "got it". But you did, so good job. The resulting image, except for the little guys is a little flat however. Not sure if it's the base image you used or what, but they don't look like one cohesive scene. But good effort. 6 |

Retouchersby MarkBComment: Ok, so this meets the challenge and is pretty well done. I like that you flipped the monitor, but the black edge and words we should not be seeing (as if we were "inside" looking out. Minor nit there. Another is that the chain, rope and ladder should be on this side of the monitor, we should see them traverse the monitor frame. Not major, but still detracts slightly. Overall though, love the "burn" and a good effort. 6 |

SamSam Powered By Androidby zaflaboutComment: Overall an ok effort, but nothing spectacular. Perhaps if you'd shown through the back of the device a bunch of androids powering the unit, it would be cooler. Right now it just looks like art or a screensaver on a tablet. But it did meet the challenge, so good job there. |
